| I just got the 2nd album from these guys. It's called 'Gettin' Pretty Good...At Barely Gettin' By...'. It came out in 1996 on Magnetic Air Records. It's still southern rock like the first album but maybe not as good. A man by the name of Haggis wrote the songs on the first album and on the 2nd he was no longer around. Their lead guitarist wrote the songs for the second album and there is a difference. Someone I know got this album when it came out. Good luck finding it now. | |

| I got this album in 1992, and havn't stopped palying it since. By far the best rock album I ever heard, huge riffs, awesome drumming, and attitude throughout. I would love to have seen em live, apparently there's a live album out there somewhere, dammed if I can find it. | Rest in Piece: Frank starr. In Nov. 1995, while riding his Motorcycle down the Sunset Strip, a drunk driver pulled her car out in front of Frank, who had no time to avoid the collision. His bike struck her car, sending Frank flying through the air between 50-100 feet, landing on his head. Although he was wearing a helmet, he suffered massive head trauma, and was taked to Ceder-Sinai Hospital, in a coma, where he remained for some time. | |

| R.I.P. Frank cont. Frank was moved to Bay Harbor Hospital, in Torrance CA., and eventually came out of his coma. Frank was left without nearly all of his motor functions, including, walking, and talking, and remaind on life support, and a respirator. His ex-wife Kim, was informed that the doctor walked in Frank's room, and Frank had already passed away. The date was June 18th 1999. Frank is survived by his family in New York, his ex-wife, and daughter in Los Angeles. Buried in Chatsworth CA. | |

| My name's Jimmy from the band Wildside. We toured with the Horsemen on our first tour for three months in 1992. They were awesome. My favorite band to watch that we ever played with. Here's a little info: Haggis was the so called 'leader' of the band. He used to be in The Cult, was friends with Rick Rubin and got the deal through him. The drimmer, Dimwit, is/was the brother of Danzig's drummer (I heard he passed away too, not confirmed). Dave, Ben and Frank were all awesome at (cont). | |

| These dudes really rocked in the best way. To me a band The Four Horsemen would recommend today is Nashville Pussy. They are fuckin' great in every way. A mix of AC/DC riffs with a southern rock dirt taste and and punk attitude. They deliver pure rock n'roll with an attitude. And I also can't quit this page without mentionning the glorious Turbonegro, quite different but similar in some ways. There are still bands who rock with great attitude. | |

| I can't believe I never commented on this one before. Excellent album! 'Feels like '75 again,' goes one song, but this music is timeless. A near-perfect mix of straight-up hard-rock and southern/blues-rock. The track list is slightly different than my copy though. I don't have 'Medley,' and the last two tracks listed here are actually combined on mine. The Fizz Picks: everything except 'Tired Wings' really, but especially 'Let It ROck' and 'Homesick Blues.' | |

| One of my favorites from the height of the glam era. The title track ranks among THE BEST rock and roll songs ever made, without qualification. Vocal approaches: Drill seargeant holler (Rockin is ma Biz), Smooth character (Tired Wings), Sunset Strip screech (Let it Rock, Lookin for Trouble). | This is what hard rock is all about. I love the bluesy, ballsy, gritty grooves that their music has. These guys are like Great White, AC/DC, Cinderella, Dangerous Toys, Tesla and Kix all rolled up into one band. A very consistant release that plays good from start to finish. | what can I say more, it's a masterpiece some harmonica is missing maybe Rockin'... is one of the best f. pure and simple HARD ROCK tracks ever along with some great tunes from Tora Tora (amnesia), Circus Of Power (motor), Rhino Bucket (...), Jackyl(...) ... IMHO too, AC/DC meets Lynyrd Skynyrd (hell yeah) mixed here and there with some Rhino Bucket guitar tones and Dirty looks, Kix and Dangerous Toys vocals a real pleasure to listen it time and time again for me it's still a mystery how this bluesy, southern, dirty Rock and Roll (jackyl, tesla, johhnny crash, four horsemen, nevada beach, x-sinner, junkyard, little caesar, dirty looks, dangerous toys, circus of power, ac/dc, krokus, kings of the sun, airbourne, ...) alternate so well with the finest polished classic AOR (survivor, the storm, unruly child, signal, kansas, ...) thanks God for the music !!! | |

| I absolutely love this disc. Pure red, white and jblue-blooded American rock 'n' roll, as dreamed up by an Englishman, a Noo Yawker, and some L.A. guys. It's that volatile combination of AC/DC andj Skynyrd that always gets thrown around, but which few bands actually embody. 'I Need A Thrill' is the organ-laced, southern-rock strumming ying, and 'Let It Rock' the power-chorded, screechy-voiced yang. Elsewhere, 'Homesick Blues' is damn near country, and 'Moonshine' has Frank talk-singing througha bullhorn with a lot of sound effects, and jstill sounds pretty cool. I've never liked 'Tired Wings,' just not catchy and jtoo long and jan all-around poor choice for a single, and 'Wanted Man' just never really takes off. But other than that, no complaints. And man ... 'Let It Rock' just cannot be played loud enough. | |

| In a way, you would almost think Dana Strum produced this thing, because much like Stick It To Ya, as welll as the Kik Tracee and Sister Whiskey albums he did, the songs run one right into the next with little or no pause, and the landscape is littered with sound effects. People whoop and clap at the end of the title track. The band unceremoniously drop their instruments after 'Wanted Man.' 'Moonshine' has a shotgun blast, sirens, and a helicopter as well as other less identifiable noise, and Frank C. singing through the phone from jail (don't know if that rumor's true, but I hope it is). Nobody Said It Was Easy is in my short list of all-time greats, and like the first junkyard disc, a spiritual first cousin, occupies a permanent place on my phone.
